About the role
- Drive policy strategies to protect innovation and patient access under Medicare Part A and Part B.
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal, government affairs, market access) to align advocacy efforts.
- Lead cross-functional workgroups to develop proactive solutions for pricing and reimbursement challenges.
- Develop forward looking strategies to ensure optimal coverage and reimbursement of BMS products in government programs.
- Advise business partners on appropriate policy and advocacy approaches to resolve access issues.
- Collaborate with business partners to anticipate Medicare coverage and reimbursement needs and develop strategies to ensure timely submission of Medicare coding and reimbursement requirements e.g., J-code submissions, ICD-10 coding, NTAPs, etc.
- Represent the organization in industry coalitions, trade associations, and stakeholder forums.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and advocacy groups.
- Prepare and deliver testimony, comments, and briefing materials for legislative and regulatory processes.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Public Policy, Health Economics, Law, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in health policy, government affairs, or reimbursement strategy, with a focus on physician-administered medicines.
- Strong understanding of CMS regulations, coding, and payment methodologies and physician reimbursement dynamics.
- Experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry is required.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus and drive alignment across complex organizational structures.
- Strong business acumen, strategic mindset, and executive presence.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, collegial environment.
- People management experience preferred.
- Domestic travel required (up to 20%).
