About the role
- Assist with drafting client updates, reports, and meeting agendas
- Participate in client calls and meetings, taking detailed notes
- Support media outreach efforts by building and updating media lists, pitching stories, and tracking coverage
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and industry stakeholders
- Entering and confirming product sample requests
- Vetting and responding to inbound influencer and media inquiries
- Assist in creating press releases, pitches, media alerts, bios, and other comms materials
- Support with vendor research and competitor activity
- Pull placements from platforms (Cision, Coverage Book, Muck Rack, TV Eyes, Creator IQ or comparable) and upload into client reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 1-2 years of PR agency experience in the consumer goods industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A proactive, self-starter attitude with a passion for staying ahead of trends
- Familiarity with Cision, Coverage Book, Muck Rack, TV Eyes, Creator IQ, or comparable platforms
- Experience building and updating media lists, pitching stories, and tracking coverage
- Experience entering and confirming product sample requests
- Experience vetting and responding to inbound influencer and media inquiries
- Experience creating press releases, pitches, media alerts, bios, and other comms materials
- Vendor research and competitor activity support
- 1-2 years full-time agency experience in consumer products PR or integrated marketing
