About the role
- Serve as primary legal advisor to network operations and government affairs teams
- Provide strategic counsel focusing on franchise agreements, pole attachment/joint use agreements, and regulatory compliance
- Manage and oversee company’s disputes related to fiber build
- Collaborate with internal departments to align legal strategies with business goals
- Assist in development of internal policies and advocacy efforts
Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 10+ years of legal experience with a significant portion spent advising clients in telecommunications or closely related field
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications law, including regulatory and transactional matters
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating real estate and procurement contracts and agreements
- Strong experience in dispute resolution & developing creative compromises
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on pragmatic, business-minded solutions
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and proactive mindset
- Ability to lead with integrity, curiosity, and a focus on enabling business innovation while protecting the company
