About the role

  • Define and deliver the Country Beauty & Care sales strategy
  • Plan and implement sales and marketing activities at a customer, market and supplier level
  • Lead, develop and provide focus and direction to the commercial team
  • Manage, build, and maintain strong relationships with key customers
  • Support Brand Owner account management
  • Coordinate sales and product strategic alignment
  • Manage pricing and contract negotiations
  • Provide technical support and product training
  • Undertake regular joint visits with the commercial teams
  • Coordinate Principal visits and arrange technical training sessions
  • Ensure all business activities are conducted according to corporate guidelines
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Business Unit strategy
  • Manage overall Country financial performance of the Business Unit
  • Lead the commercial team in setting and achieving regionally agreed budgeted sales and gross margin targets
  • Complete monthly reporting and provide ad hoc reporting as requested
  • Identify and assist in implementation of process improvement opportunities
  • Manage Customer Service Excellence
  • Review Job7’s and follow through to action improvements

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualified in a related field with relevant postgraduate qualifications (science/chemistry)
  • Minimum 10 + years’ experience in Personal Care related industries with a significant portion of time spent in commercial/sales roles
  • Minimum 5 + years’ experience leading commercial teams with evidenced sales results and service excellence outcomes
  • Evidenced ability to lead change, improve engagement and deliver results
  • Working knowledge and experience in the chemical industry advantageous
  • Working knowledge and experience of SAP and MRP systems
