About the role
- Define and deliver the Country Beauty & Care sales strategy
- Plan and implement sales and marketing activities at a customer, market and supplier level
- Lead, develop and provide focus and direction to the commercial team
- Manage, build, and maintain strong relationships with key customers
- Support Brand Owner account management
- Coordinate sales and product strategic alignment
- Manage pricing and contract negotiations
- Provide technical support and product training
- Undertake regular joint visits with the commercial teams
- Coordinate Principal visits and arrange technical training sessions
- Ensure all business activities are conducted according to corporate guidelines
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Business Unit strategy
- Manage overall Country financial performance of the Business Unit
- Lead the commercial team in setting and achieving regionally agreed budgeted sales and gross margin targets
- Complete monthly reporting and provide ad hoc reporting as requested
- Identify and assist in implementation of process improvement opportunities
- Manage Customer Service Excellence
- Review Job7’s and follow through to action improvements
Requirements
- Tertiary qualified in a related field with relevant postgraduate qualifications (science/chemistry)
- Minimum 10 + years’ experience in Personal Care related industries with a significant portion of time spent in commercial/sales roles
- Minimum 5 + years’ experience leading commercial teams with evidenced sales results and service excellence outcomes
- Evidenced ability to lead change, improve engagement and deliver results
- Working knowledge and experience in the chemical industry advantageous
- Working knowledge and experience of SAP and MRP systems
