About the role
- Be the primary contact for Nonprofit clients, ensuring exceptional service, and building trust through your accounting expertise and guidance.
- Assess financial processes and recommend improvements and tech-forward solutions.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, including reconciliations, month-end entries, and record cleanup.
- Discuss financial results with clients and identify opportunities for growth.
- Manage workflow and timelines effectively.
- Mentor and review work of junior accountants and bookkeepers.
- A tech-savvy accountant who loves to advise Nonprofits on their financial health and strategy.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, with at least 5 years of experience in nonprofit accounting/bookkeeping
- You have experience in working with multiple clients simultaneously (CPA firm environment or similar)
- You know your way around balance sheets and reviewing financials like the back of your hand.
- You are a QuickBooks Online (QBO) whiz with experience utilizing the system within the last 5 years.
- Resourceful and able to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, approachable way.
