About the role
- Ecosystem Management: Prospect and maintain contracts with carriers/operators (IP, LAN-to-LAN, dark fiber and colocation).
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity and identify regions with high demand for transport infrastructure.
- Consultative Negotiation: Prepare complex commercial proposals, defend contribution margins and ensure project ROI.
- Strategic Post-Sales: Manage portfolio churn, anticipate renewals and ensure the customer sees continuous value in the partnership.
- Internal Interface: Collaborate with Engineering and Implementation teams to ensure technical feasibility and delivery timelines for links.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Previous experience with carriers or Internet service providers (ISPs), preferably in wholesale account roles.
- Familiarity with concepts such as BGP, ASN, backbone, last mile and value-added services (VAS).
- Strong negotiation and customer relationship skills.
- Experience in prospecting, sales and account management.
- Knowledge of IT/Telecommunications (IP, DDoS, IXPs/PTTs, LAN-to-LAN, SD-WAN).
- Strong knowledge of the ISP market is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, presentations, word processing) and ERP or CRM tools.
- Availability to travel.
- Must have own vehicle.
