Account Executive

• Identifies prospective customers for use as sales leads through proactive networking, cold calls, and other proven business research methods
• Establishes, develops, and maintains positive business and customer relationships
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by keeping abreast of best practices and promotional trends within the industry
• Travels throughout the assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers to solicit orders and build rapport
• Communicates the value proposition of Brainerd’s products and service offerings using various marketing materials, technical documents, and experience
• Creates and maintains sales presentations for internal and external use
• Operate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software in order to maintain call reports, customer file records, and keep management informed
• Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
• Negotiates appropriate selling prices within set parameters by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
• Establishes working relationship with Customer Care department within the company to keep account activities and sales literature up to date and accurate
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
