About the role
- The General Aviation Regional Account Manager leads relationship management & account strategy with Air bp General Aviation Customers & Airports within a designated portfolio and is accountable to delivering outstanding performance and service for both bp and our customers.
- This role will require in-depth understanding and knowledge of our customers through a detailed, meticulous, and continuous application of outstanding Account Management techniques.
- The Account manager will also be required to work cohesively with other key internal partners to ensure maximum value is achieved for bp.
- Supervise a working partnership with our Commercial, Supply & Trading and Operations team in order to secure and grow the portfolio.
- Develop a regional growth strategy and plan to generate maximum value for and from our customers by employing Air bp’s expertise and airport network across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
- Lead expansion opportunities through the pursuit of new route to markets, airport entries and new products to support our new customer contracts.
- Grow Gross Profit (GP) by improving the end-to-end value from bp significant airport network portfolio across ANZ, plus the bp supply chain from terminal and logistics to airport.
- Work in conjunction with the Commercial team to lead all aspects of the commercial profitability of our airports and customer accounts by working with other teams within Air bp to ensure supply chain and operational efficiency and finding opportunities to increase value or reduce cost.
- Lead offer development and the commercial negotiations in response to customer and airport tender invitations.
- Be accountable for financial performance of customer portfolio.
- Negotiate outcomes and growth with the customers.
- Work with the team to demonstrate positive teamwork to achieve national results.
- Support with projects, strategy, training development and where necessary to help drive positive outcomes within the Aviation business.
Requirements
- Educational background in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field
- Deep track record in Sales and Marketing, especially Key Account Management, delivering financial success is crucial
- Evidence of growing deep customer relationships which are directly linked to financial performance
- Able to bring people together and work with different parts of the business from Commercial, Operations and Support Functions.
- Strong relationship builder who aims for win/win solutions with customers and partners, even when the odds are against her/him
- An upbeat individual passionate about the business, with a deep sense of ownership and “can do” demeanour with the ability to lead by influence
- Must have high level of business intuition and ability to handle ambiguity
- Self-starter, great listener, humble with both self-confidence and resilience!
