About the role
- Assess academic and standardized test results of pre-licensure nursing students and recommends strategies for improved course and program outcomes.\n
- Meet with students on a regular basis to monitor utilization of success strategies.\n
- Coach students in test taking skills and strategies for preparation for all exams (Course, standardized, exit, and NCLEX-RN).\n
- Assess student needs through data analysis and interview techniques to deliver individualized and tailored coaching to improve student’s specific outcomes.\n
- Meet with NCLEX Success Director and leadership as needed to discuss student or cohort progress.\n
- Collaborate with faculty and nursing leadership to find methods to improve academic outcomes and NCLEX pass rates.\n
- Interpret and share results of standardized tests with students and leadership.\n
- Maintain documentation of student coaching.\n
- Monitor effectiveness of success program at assigned sites/locations and reports findings to NCLEX Success Director.\n
- Analyze relevant student, cohort, site, and program data to identify gaps in outcomes.\n
- Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation.\n
- Upholds the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University.\n
- Support processes and procedures for promoting instructional quality and applied practice in nursing curriculum programs.\n
- Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
Requirements
- Master’s Degree (MSN) required.\n
- An active, current, and unencumbered Registered Nurse licensure from a compact state.\n
- Experience in assessment of student learning outcomes and remediation strategies required.\n
- Prior experience in preparing students for NCLEX-RN preferred.\n
- Must pass pre-employment background investigations.\n
- Demonstrated experience with standardized testing required.\n
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the collegiate level required.\n
- Demonstrated coaching experience preferred.
