About the role
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters
- Contribute to case strategy
- Participate in all phases of litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence
- Participate in depositions, court conferences, hearings, and mediations
- Collaborate with Partners and senior attorneys on case strategy
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the New York Bar (in good standing)
- 3–7 years of litigation experience
- Experience with New York Labor Law or substantial experience in insurance defense litigation
- Background in construction accident or general liability defense (preferred)
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills (preferred)
- Comfort managing a caseload with appropriate supervision (preferred)
- Professional courtroom presence and communication skills (preferred)
- Interest in continued professional development and mentorship (preferred)
