Negotiate and draft/edit moderate to complex, non-routine contracts
Prepare complex requests for proposals
Review complex solicitations and prepare specialized and/or non-routine responses
Provide contractual and authoritative guidance to internal business teams
Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiations on complex contractual issues
Manage contract change control process
Engage stakeholders in contracting and RFP decisions
Conduct market research to maintain knowledge of current industry trends
Mentor and train less experienced contracting staff
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, law, or similar
Certification from National Contract Management Association (NCMA) or International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) or similar credential preferred
5+ years progressive experience in contract negotiation and/or category management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled at researching, interpreting, and communicating complex issues
Intermediate to advanced skill in use of Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.
Proficient using contract lifecycle management and ERP systems
Broad knowledge of legal principles and procedures as they relate to vendor contracts
Proficient at spend analysis and forecasting necessary to make sound recommendations based on data
