About the role
- Lead and support Federal and Department of Energy (DOE) projects from initiation through completion
- Responsible for managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal regulations, contract requirements, and industry standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
- Lead licensing teams and manage the completion of various regulatory work scopes
- Plan, execute, and manage projects in accordance with contract requirements and organizational standards
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Manage project scope, change control, risk, and issue resolution
- Track project performance and report status, risks, and milestones to leadership and clients
- Ensure compliance with Federal, DOE, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder communications
- Support procurement activities and subcontractor oversight
- Oversee project closeout activities, including documentation and lessons learned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- 3–10 years of project management experience supporting technical, engineering, or infrastructure projects
- Experience managing scope, schedule, cost, and risk in a regulated environment
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- 10+ years of project management experience for preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting Federal, DOE, or other government agency projects
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of Federal contracting, compliance, and project controls
- PMP certification, PE license, or ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
