Systems Engineer

• Develop and document high-level requirements for new or proposed projects, translating stakeholder needs into technical specifications.
• Facilitate expansion of high-level requirements into traceable lower-level Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs) requirements with clear parent-child relationships.
• Implement and maintain requirements in systems integration tools (Visure, DOORS, DOORS Next Gen).
• Establish and enforce requirements quality standards including measurability, testability, traceability, and completeness.
• Define and document interfaces between systems, ensuring both sides of each interface specify performance parameters (flow rates, pressures, temperatures, data protocols, etc.).
• Coordinate interface requirements across facility systems (electrical, mechanical, controls, safety, etc.).
• Write and critically review technical documents (Design Interface Requirements, Engineering Design Specifications, Design Verification Records).
• Support project leads in translating operational needs and safety requirements into equipment design specifications.
• Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure traceability through design, fabrication, and testing.
• Support project leads in risk identification, monitoring, and documentation.
• Assist in developing cost models for proposed projects based on requirements scope.
• Develop and maintain systems engineering standards, templates, and best practices.
• Train engineers on requirements quality principles and systems integration tools.
• Implement model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approaches on projects from concept through detailed design.

Manager

• As the Lead Project Integrator Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include acquisition planning, tracking and reporting; acquisition process analysis and improvement; and acquisition package development (e.g., requirements development, market research and market surveys, estimating and pricing, acquisition plans, and source selection) for large scale projects requiring Professional services, A&E services, Construction, Equipment Procurement, and any other contracted services/supplies necessary to complete large scale projects across a vast array of engineering, nuclear, technology, and environmental opportunities.
• Apply your knowledge, skills, and abilities in acquisition processes, contract administration, contract change management, dispute resolution, and contract completion to provide direction to BGS Lead Project Integrator Program/Project Managers.
• Develop contracting strategies and approaches to bring necessary external resources to help define requirements or execute requirements that are defined.
• Comply with all corporate policies, procedures, and requirements, as well as applicable Client or Government regulations and policies.

Lead Project Integrator, Contracts Manager

• Lead the procurement process for A&E services, including drafting requests for qualifications/proposals (RFQ/RFP), evaluating proposals, and negotiating terms, fees, and scopes of work to ensure best value.
• Draft, review, and execute contracts, amendments, and task orders, ensuring they align with best practices for A&E contracts, company policies, and legal regulations.
• Identify potential legal or financial risks for A&E contracts as well as future construction-related contracts based on A&E services.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, or local regulations (e.g., DPW, DOT), identify potential compliance issues with applicable codes, and resolve contract disputes during design phase and construction phase activities.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal project managers and engineers, legal departments, and external consultants/engineers.
• Manage contract completion, final payments, and archiving documentation.

A&E Contracts – Subcontracts Manager II-III

• Lead the procurement process for construction services, including drafting requests for qualifications/proposals (RFQ/RFP), evaluating proposals, and negotiating terms, fees, and scopes of work to ensure best value.
• Draft, review, and execute contracts, amendments, and task orders, ensuring they align with best practices for construction contracts, company policies, and legal regulations.
• Identify potential legal or financial risks for construction contracts as well as future construction-related contracts based on A&E services.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal project managers and engineers, legal departments, and external consultants/engineers.
• Manage contract completion, final payments, and archiving documentation.
• Lead or assist in reviewing proposals and supporting proposal evaluation activities using sound, logical analysis techniques as appropriate for the acquisition.

Construction Contracts, Subcontracts Manager II/III

Business Operations

• Partner with portfolio or program leadership to operationalize strategic priorities.
• Translate leadership direction into operational plans, workflows, and execution cadence.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on operational risks, constraints, and opportunities.
• Develop and manage an opportunity pipeline for the company based on input from the BU Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and industry forecasts.
• Periodically review the pipeline with the BU Senior Leadership Team to ensure capture plans are in progress.
• Provide support for capture and account planning.
• Support budget tracking, labor forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Establish and maintain operational rhythms (status reviews, dashboards, reporting).
• Act as liaison across Operations, Finance, HR, Contracts, IT, and PMO.
• Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, or recurring issues.

Business Operations Director – Energy & Environment

IT Support

• Serve as the dedicated primary point of contact for all IT-related matters within the Engineering department, including escalated issues, project-specific requests, and proactive system improvements.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to Engineering team members, troubleshooting hardware (e.g., workstations, CAD laptops, servers, peripherals), software (e.g., CAD tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS; simulation software; PLM systems; data analysis tools), networks, and cloud-based platforms.
• Act as the IT liaison for Engineering projects — both internal (e.g., new tool deployments, lab setups, data migration for R&D initiatives) and external (e.g., secure file sharing with clients/vendors, integration of collaborative tools, remote access for partner reviews, compliance with external project requirements).
• Collaborate closely with Engineering leads, project managers, and external stakeholders to assess IT needs for upcoming projects, recommend solutions, and ensure timely implementation (e.g., setting up secure environments for prototype testing or client demos).
• Supports the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of engineering-specific hardware and software, including licensing management, workstation imaging, and performance optimization for compute-intensive tasks.
• Monitor and maintain department-specific IT assets, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance (e.g., data backups, access controls for sensitive IP, cybersecurity for project-related tools).
• Document processes, resolutions, and best practices; create knowledge base articles tailored to Engineering workflows to reduce recurring issues and empower self-service where possible.
• Coordinate with the broader IT team for infrastructure support, escalations, and company-wide initiatives while prioritizing Engineering needs.
• Participate in project planning meetings to provide IT input, identify potential technical risks, and contribute to smooth execution.
• Stay current on emerging technologies relevant to engineering (e.g., cloud CAD, AI-assisted design tools, VR/AR for prototyping) and propose improvements to enhance productivity.
