About the role
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, stakeholders, and end users to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
- Map and validate current and future-state business processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with business goals.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications and workflows that can be used by development and QA teams.
- Support project planning activities, including scheduling, progress tracking, and risk identification.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to drive clarity and alignment among business and technical teams.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Partner with QA to validate solutions against requirements, assisting with test case design and execution when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role, working closely with project managers and stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in MS Visio or Lucidchart for process mapping and workflow design.
- Hands-on experience with MS Project for scheduling and project tracking.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar tools for managing requirements, user stories, and issue tracking.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Must live close enough to New York City to attend onsite meetings a few times each month.
