About the role

  • Review and assess the latest marketplace-driven threats targeting Bolster’s customers and prospects.
  • Perform ongoing threat hunting across global online marketplaces to identify fraudulent listings, counterfeit products, impersonation sellers, and other forms of brand abuse.
  • Train Bolster’s AI engine using newly identified marketplace threats to improve detection accuracy and automation.
  • Analyze listings, seller activity, product metadata, and marketplace ecosystems to detect fraud patterns and emerging abuse trends.
  • Submit marketplace takedown requests and track each case through successful enforcement.
  • Collaborate with marketplace operators, seller-support teams, and trust & safety groups to drive timely enforcement actions.
  • Monitor previously reported listings to ensure they remain suspended and identify attempts by threat actors to re-list.
  • Maintain clear documentation of reporting workflows, evidence collection, escalation steps, and marketplace-specific requirements.
  • Provide written responses and ticket-based support to customers regarding marketplace intelligence, takedown status, and threat summaries.
  • Support Sales and Customer Success teams with marketplace-focused threat intelligence for active customers and POCs.
  • Generate monthly and ad-hoc reports highlighting marketplace fraud trends, detection insights, and enforcement outcomes.
  • Research new marketplace abuse techniques and work with internal teams to improve detection logic, reporting workflows, and operational metrics.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in trust & safety or brand protection, with direct experience working with online marketplaces.
  • Well versed in intellectual property, online marketplace policy, and best practices for reporting complaints and violations.
  • Existing connections or established working relationships with major online marketplace providers.
  • Experience working with enterprise-wide technical or operational solutions.
  • Knowledge of security, fraud-detection principles, and online ecosystem abuse, specifically within marketplaces.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and investigative mindset, including problem-solving, abstract thinking, and offensive security-style tactics.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills—both written and verbal. Experience in customer support, compliance, or email-based communication is preferred.
  • Security or Trust & Safety certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness and openness to occasional 24/7 support for critical customer incidents.
