About the role
- Oversee the help desk operations and manage in-scope IT on campus
- Lead and mentor the Help Desk team
- Oversee daily Help Desk operations
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
- Monitor help desk metrics and report trends
- Collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and network teams
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
- Manage staffing schedules and workload distribution
- Support IT onboarding for new hires
- Serve as the point of escalation for complex end-user issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on help desk and system administration
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus
- Must pass a criminal background check
