Director

• Serve as the sole paid staff person and report to the Steering Committee, covering administrative and program functions
• Build and implement grant making strategy: review and track grant applications and reports in Foundant; share proposals with Allocations Committee and facilitate recommendations; develop grant making framework grounded in trust and community power; develop evaluation plan to measure impact
• Lead fundraising and donor organizing: partner with Steering Committee to develop and implement fundraising strategy spanning individual, corporate, and institutional giving; cultivate current and prospective funders; develop proposals, presentations, and communications; expand connections with regional and national funders and donor collaboratives
• Manage Steering Committee operations and governance: schedule and prepare agendas, facilitate meetings, present performance and financial reports, support creation and sustainment of effective governance structure
• External relations and thought leadership: serve as primary external representative; develop materials to help funders understand community organizing; organize convenings, funder briefings, and learning opportunities with grantees and funders
• General operations and financial management: manage day-to-day operations; draft, manage, and monitor annual budget in consultation with Crossroads Fund accountant; ensure timely financial and grant data to committees; manage contractors/consultants; ensure justice, equity, and collective liberation guide activities
