About the role
- Become an expert in the Bold.org donor platform.
- Engage with donors via phone, video, and email to understand and align their philanthropic goals with our platform.
- Conduct 4+ hours of meetings daily with prospective and current donors.
- Support donors throughout the entire process, addressing questions and adjusting funds and scholarships as needed.
- Represent the Bold.org & Bold Foundation brand and mission of fighting student debt to donors, working with them to realize their potential impact.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for donor accounts, developing trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders.
- Solicit and analyze donor feedback to share with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
- Identify opportunities for donor referrals, testimonials, and campaign examples to showcase our best users.
- Assist in creating and maintaining educational materials for Bold.org donors.
- Coordinate between donors and our Operations and Marketing teams to ensure scholarships are appropriately reviewed and awarded.
- Collaborate directly with Product to ensure a successful donor experience on the platform.
Requirements
- 2-4 years in account management, customer success, business development, or customer experience is required.
- A background in fundraising and/or working with donors or nonprofits is a strong plus.
- A joy in learning new tools and software, with relevant experience in CRM software (we use HubSpot).
- The ability to manage multiple donor relationships and conversations simultaneously, transitioning quickly between calls, coordinating scholarship operations, and addressing email inquiries.
- A dedication to helping donors achieve their goals, advocating for their needs, cheering them on, and championing user requests internally.
- Comfort and grace when discussing deeply personal topics, especially with donors creating scholarships to memorialize loved ones.
- The ability to build trust quickly and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with polished, academic grammar and strong attention to detail.
- The ability to give and receive feedback thoughtfully and easily, working well within a team environment.
- A proven track record of learning quickly and figuring things out independently.
