About the role
- Manages, develops, and motivates a group of Category Management Specialists
- Build strategic cross-functional and cross-organizational partnerships to evangelize and achieve category goals
- Sets strategic priority and drives key initiatives
- Leads a team to develop and execute innovative and complex category management strategies that capture value
- Ensures strong coordination and alignment with other supply chain leaders across BGS, BCA and BDS
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices
- Leverages supply base and industry relationships to achieve strategic goals
- Partners with enterprise stakeholders and industry to drive category vision into key activities such as long-term agreements, make-buy-transfer decisions and corporate initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher, with a minimum of 10 plus years of work experience
- 7+ years of experience in Supply chain, supply chain category management, Strategy, or Supplier Management
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace supply chain
- 3+ years of formal management experience
- Ability to travel to support business and team requirements (approximately 10%-25%)
