About the role
- Develop and maintain electrical wire harness detail, assembly and installation designs for our diverse portfolio of advanced Commercial Aircraft.
- Develop, integrate and maintain critical electrical cable/wire harness detail, assembly and installation designs.
- Integrating functional system requirements into an efficient logical and physical wire harness architecture throughout the airplane.
- Develop and analyze engineering design disposition on discrepancies.
- Collaborate with partners on the factory floor to ensure designs can be built efficiently and safely.
- Follow and look for improvements to documented processes, specifications and procedures that support safe and quality design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
- Participate in technical reviews of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 3+ years of experience with wire harness, electrical and/or mechanical design.
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience using wire design tools such as WIRS, MAPPER, CADDS and/or Capital Logic (preferred).
- Work Authorization: The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” is required.
