About the role

Provide software engineering functions for the design, development, and maintenance of complex, multi-tiered application software systems used to support the command and control of space vehicles
Work day-to-day with system and test engineers to implement, test, and document new features and improvements for web services and applications supporting distributed computing solutions
Develop software in conjunction with Agile team leadership and participate in Agile events and PI planning
Assist in execution of DevSecOps processes to deliver software baselines on sprint boundaries
Engage with users and other engineers to determine solutions to technical issues and interface with the user community for troubleshooting and feedback
Support development, documentation, and maintenance of architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software products in a Windows operating system environment
Support debugging and resolution of issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products
Support implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development
Support execution and documentation of software research and development projects and interface with integration and test teams

2+ years of experience with software development and design
2+ years of experience in a Windows based operating system
2+ years of experience with software configuration management tools (e.g. Bitbucket, Git) and problem/issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps)
2+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment
Experience with HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Javascript
Bachelor of Science degree preferred in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
Experience participating in or leading an Agile team
Experience writing unit tests
Experience working with distributed teams
Familiarity with REST/Async API Integration, state management and component libraries
Proficient with Agile and modern software development practices
Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance required (U.S. Citizenship required)
Must meet export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person required)
