About the role

  • Lead Acoustic Programs focused on delivering underwater acoustic systems supporting ASW platforms
  • Manage employees, mid/first-level managers, and Integrated Product Team Leads
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple Boeing business units, external suppliers, and domestic/international customers
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies, and procedures across all areas of Acoustic Programs
  • Provide input on program level business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives
  • Direct development and support communication of Acoustic Programs Long Range Business Plan
  • Acquire resources for department activities, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
  • Oversee quality and safety of the products and facility
  • Manage staffing and day-to-day logistics for Acoustic Programs

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience within project leadership including planning, implementing and executing program plans
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance, scheduling, industrial engineering, change management, strategy, program management, or project management role
  • Understanding and experience with Program Management Best Practices
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Experience directly interfacing with customers
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred)
  • Experience with anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare (ASUW), or maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems (preferred)
  • Experience with export-related material and international customers (preferred)
  • Ability to lead major program milestone reviews (preferred)
  • Strong experience in technical work effort estimation processes and tools (preferred)
