About the role
- Design and develop next generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems
- Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures
- Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces in the development of communication digital payloads
- Develop performance and link budgets
- Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models
- Assist with conducting trade studies
- Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like communication subsystem testbeds
- Support unit-level integration and performance simulations
- Support ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification
- Support hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs
- Interact with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Senior/Lead (Level 4): typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
- Senior/Lead (Level 5): typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
- Education or experience in signal processing
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) or clearance active in past 24 months
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
