About the role

  • Design and develop solutions to automate accounting workflows using BlackLine capabilities (Intercompany Hub, Journal Entry, Matching, Task Manager, etc.)
  • Drive process improvements to align with BlackLine capabilities and industry best practices
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure successful execution of BlackLine projects
  • Establish effective support models to sustain and continuously improve BlackLine solutions in production
  • Lead training of internal resources and drive broad adoption of BlackLine
  • Monitor metrics related to BlackLine usage and ensure best-in-class adoption
  • Support timely and successful deployment of project deliverables across all phases
  • Oversee communication and collaboration with subsidiaries, accounting organizations, Finance Systems Analytics, and IT
  • Ensure all activities and processes comply with GAAP, SOX, FAR, and DFAR as applicable
  • Perform some onsite work at the listed Boeing locations as required by the hiring team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with BlackLine systems automation tools
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Deep understanding of industry best practices for BlackLine implementation and utilization
  • Experience implementing BlackLine solutions across diverse business processes
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense FAR (DFAR)
  • Skilled in automation design, process logic, scripting, and solution planning
  • Proficiency with SQL and other data analysis tools
  • Experience with system development, testing, and optimization
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar ERP platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analyses and solving complex problems
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • U.S. Person required for export control compliance (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
