About the role
- Serve as Workday Engagement Manager for US Federal practice, guiding customers through deployment lifecycle and solution delivery
- Manage portfolio of project engagements including partner-led and internal deployments
- Drive client implementation, develop key project deliverables (charter, staffing plan, issue logs)
- Manage project budget and profitability; full project P+L ownership
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services resources and Workday Deployment Partners
- Participate in sales cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals/SOWs
- Ensure projects are planned, staffed, and compliant with Delivery Assurance checkpoints
- Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings and facilitate client adoption of Workday best practices
- Identify upsell opportunities and assist transition from Professional Services to Product Support
- Present change orders when work is outside the SOW
Requirements
- 6+ years project managing medium/large ERP implementations (Sr P4) or 8+ years (Principal P5)
- 6+ years implementing Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Ultimate, Lawson or similar (Sr P4) or 8+ years (Principal P5)
- 6+ years (Sr P4) or 8+ years (Principal P5) experience in ERP business areas: Financials, HCM, Payroll, Services Procurement or similar
- Experience overseeing 3rd-party vendors on projects
- Experience within the public sector (Federal/State & Local government)
- Business development and service sales experience (preferred)
- Prior consulting experience with consulting/software firms or internal consulting
- Knowledge of financial business processes and reporting (desirable)
- Strong communication, negotiation, mediation and problem-solving skills
- Leadership, stakeholder management and relationship management skills
- Risk management, strategic planning and operational efficiency expertise
- Ability to travel 50% or more
