About the role

  • Support a small group of end users and multiple systems
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues under time pressure
  • Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and document proposed optimizations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
  • Interface with customer and represent the System Admin Team during high impact operations
  • Perform infrastructure administration, information security support and configurations, software and OS support
  • Follow configuration change control / configuration change management processes
  • Create new solutions to hard technical problems and provide system support using modern tooling
  • Work variable shifts as part of a shift-work rotational schedule

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • A current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
  • Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience; Level 4: 5+ years of related work experience
  • Experience in System Administration (Linux/Unix or Windows)
  • Experience communicating with customer representatives in written and spoken form
  • Willingness to complete on-the-job (OJT) training
  • Willingness and ability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience managing and maintaining servers, workstations, and related infrastructure components (preferred)
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP (preferred)
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills (preferred)
  • Expertise in on-premises virtualization (AHV, VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V) or cloud (AWS or Azure) (preferred)
  • Experience with VDI infrastructure, monitoring infrastructure, securing infrastructure (preferred)
  • Experience documenting technical details in Confluence and task tracking in Jira (preferred)
  • Cloud, INFOSEC, or any recent IT certifications (preferred)
  • Previous shift-work experience (preferred)
