About the role

  • Lead integration and execution of contract and sourcing strategies for Interiors Procurement within Boeing Commercial Airplanes
  • Negotiate and execute Contracts & Sourcing in support of BCA programs, including cost, terms & conditions, and adherence to affordability and financial goals
  • Manage internal and external relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain supplier contracts and statements of work within approved BCA Supply Chain policies and procedures
  • Coordinate technical meetings between supplier and internal stakeholders and ensure supplier commitments are achieved
  • Coordinate supplier deliveries, line of balance management, and manage supply and demand, schedules, and supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance
  • Conduct risk, issues, and opportunities management and perform on-site validation at suppliers of production readiness
  • Initiate and help complete supplier improvement activities and integrate results into contracting activities
  • Provide regular communication to Program, engineering, and contracting counterparts and provide oversight and project management for engineering change activities and work transfers impacting suppliers
  • Review procurement/planning systems to verify accuracy and present on supplier status
  • Perform work with minimal direction and exercise considerable latitude in resolving objectives and approaches

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Supplier Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects from contract award through system requirements review, preliminary design review, critical design review, parts procurement, installation, testing, and delivery
  • 3+ years of experience working with senior leaders/executives to communicate strategic plans and objectives
  • Domestic and international travel as needed

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office products
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience with ERP systems such as ERPLN and/or SAP
  • Preferred: 5+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
