About the role

  • Support the production lifecycle of aircraft as a Liaison/Product Review Engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplanes
  • Address defects in production, assess potential solutions and analyze integrity of solutions
  • Develop dispositions for design non-conformances and perform root cause analysis
  • Review and approve design revisions to improve production processes and coordinate across functions for design engineering concurrence
  • Work with multiple job functions to verify manufacturability and implement safe solutions restoring design intent
  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews
  • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards and audit MRB activities for suppliers
  • Develop customer correspondence, interim structural repairs, non-destructive test procedures, and conduct static strength analysis
  • Participate in on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation/support teams
  • Undergo extended training rotation program to acquire Material Review Board authority and broad airplane lifecycle understanding

Requirements

  • ABET accredited engineering degree in the field of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering discipline
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements: be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Drug Free Workplace: post offer testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met
  • Preferred: Current or previous member of the Materials Review Board (MRB)
