About the role

  • Design and architect secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure tailored for classified environments Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, engineering, and operations to ensure cloud solutions meet stringent security and compliance standards Lead the development and implementation of cloud migration strategies for classified workloads Develop and enforce cloud governance policies, security controls, and best practices aligned with government and industry standards Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud security architecture, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and threat detection Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats in cloud environments Support continuous monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning for classified cloud systems Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, security trends, and regulatory requirements affecting classified cloud deployments Prepare and present technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and security compliance reports to stakeholders Mentor and train team members on cloud architecture and security best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher 5+ years of experience architecting and deploying cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure 5+ years of experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, FedRAMP, DoD SRG, and DISA STIGs 5+ years of experience working with the Azure cloud platform and infrastructure as code (e.g., Bicep or ARM) 5+ years of experience with Policy-as-Code (Azure Policy, OPA/Gatekeeper, Rego, or equivalent) 5+ years of experience with Azure services including Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policy 5+ years of experience using analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Active CompTIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 2 months of start date (preferred) Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or equivalent (preferred) Experience in classified government or defense environments (preferred) Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and AKS (preferred) Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (preferred) Experience with automation and scripting languages such as Python or Ansible (preferred) Experience with cloud incident response and forensic investigations (preferred) Experience understanding hybrid cloud architectures and integration with on-premise systems (preferred)
