About the role
- Oversee daily operations of the Network Operations team, ensuring efficient response to enterprise network and security events and Root Cause Analysis
- Lead and mentor a team of network and security operations analysts and designers
- Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and runbooks for incident response, with a focus on proactive analytics and automation
- Collaborate across IT and business organizations to achieve "silent" operations and high productivity
- Manage budget and resources effectively
- Ensure compliance with network policy standards and security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, Boeing CSSM)
- Generate and report metrics on incident response, network availability, and KPIs
- Participate in network audits and remediate findings through documented, process-driven responses
- Foster a culture of Operational Excellence, 99.999% reliability, quality assurance, and continual service improvements
- Collaborate with Senior Managers and Executive Director to drive program development, process excellence, and analytics
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Cisco and Arista networking, load balancing, firewalls, and/or related technologies
- 5+ years of experience improving network availability towards 99.999% availability
- 3+ years of experience in managing and/or leading network operations in a complex environment
- Manage and mentor network and security operations analysts and designers
- Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, and runbooks for incident response, analytics and automation
- Ensure compliance with network standards and security regulations (ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Boeing CSSM)
- Experience with network design, architecture, protocols, and/or operations (preferred 5+ years)
- Experience running global network operations (preferred 5+ years)
- Experience with complex project & program management (preferred 5+ years)
- Bachelor's Degree or higher (preferred)
- Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in Italy; employer will not sponsor visas
