The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) or product, facilitating development events and processes and driving relentless improvement.
Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes, including PI Planning and readiness.
Assist teams in delivering value, aggregate Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives, and ensure achievement of objectives.
Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
Manage and optimize program flow, track and report status, and drive continuous improvement and integration.
Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe and Agile methodologies.
No direct reports; role may be modified based upon local regulations/requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles, practices, frameworks, and methods.
Understanding of company organizational model, structure, and Agile journey history.
Effective facilitation and teaching methods.
Coaching and mentoring approaches, including the distinction between the two.
Ability to drive decisions and resolve conflicts across multiple parties.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience successfully running agile projects of varying size and complexity.
