About the role

  • The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) or product, facilitating development events and processes and driving relentless improvement.
  • Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events and processes, including PI Planning and readiness.
  • Assist teams in delivering value, aggregate Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives, and ensure achievement of objectives.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure alignment between strategy and execution.
  • Manage and optimize program flow, track and report status, and drive continuous improvement and integration.
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in SAFe and Agile methodologies.
  • No direct reports; role may be modified based upon local regulations/requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean-Agile principles, practices, frameworks, and methods.
  • Understanding of company organizational model, structure, and Agile journey history.
  • Effective facilitation and teaching methods.
  • Coaching and mentoring approaches, including the distinction between the two.
  • Ability to drive decisions and resolve conflicts across multiple parties.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience successfully running agile projects of varying size and complexity.
