About the role

  • Explore and develop a comprehensive understanding of how a production facility operates
  • Examine various manufacturing and support roles and responsibilities
  • Responsible for innovative projects that can create real, measurable impact
  • Champion the development and implementation of ideas to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives
  • Demonstrate quick problem solving/rapid prototyping skills
  • Engage with production and support roles to drive effective problem-solving
  • Make sound tactical decisions to resolve urgent matters and manage cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (preferably industrial or mechanical)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Organized
  • Effective communication skills
  • Autodesk Inventor (preferred)
  • 3D Printing experience (preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel (experience with VLookup, Macros, etc. preferred)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week)
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
