About the role
- Explore and develop a comprehensive understanding of how a production facility operates
- Examine various manufacturing and support roles and responsibilities
- Responsible for innovative projects that can create real, measurable impact
- Champion the development and implementation of ideas to drive continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement initiatives
- Demonstrate quick problem solving/rapid prototyping skills
- Engage with production and support roles to drive effective problem-solving
- Make sound tactical decisions to resolve urgent matters and manage cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Engineering degree (preferably industrial or mechanical)
- Detail-oriented
- Organized
- Effective communication skills
- Autodesk Inventor (preferred)
- 3D Printing experience (preferred)
- Microsoft Excel (experience with VLookup, Macros, etc. preferred)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
- Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week)
- Transfer students must have a GPA from current university
- Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term
