About the role

  • Reporting to the Manager, Technical Service, you will be responsible for assisting in a variety of projects within the Aftersales Department.
  • Direct & indirect support of BMW Group Retailers.
  • Review, creation and update of service publications.
  • Creation of periodical metrics based on service publication summary and service trends.
  • Vehicle test fitments and software validation.
  • Maintain department equipment, technical work area and special tools.
  • Departmental administration support.
  • Attend weekly technical group meetings and keep track of minutes, technical topics and campaigns.
  • Theoretical and practical technical applications.
  • Research information & prepare technical documents for internal & external parties (engineering, technical, suppliers, forensic investigations, legal, police services, etc.).

Requirements

  • Pursuing a University degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • Prior automotive experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively and multitask.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in both independent and team environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Developed computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Basic level understanding of programming logic and HTML web page design is an asset.
  • Business aptitude is an asset.
  • English/ French bilingualism is an asset.
  • A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license is required.
