About the role
- Provides expert employee relations advice and governance to an assigned portfolio
- Ensures that employee relations policies, practices and strategies support business/group strategies
- Supports various employee relations programs & initiatives
- Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives
- Provides expertise related to operating procedure interpretation and misconduct issues
- Designs and produces reports and dashboards
- Builds change management plans and leads change management activities
- Manages high risk ER matters including legal case management and investigations
- Educates managers on Labor Relations management
- Investigates employee complaints and provides solutions for resolution
Requirements
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Law degree preferred
- Appropriate HR designation preferred
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency in employee relations and labor laws
