About the role
- Support the origination and structuring of corporate lending transactions
- Coordinate with other products as part of a larger coverage team
- Provide lending expertise for various sectors and establish credit facilities
- Facilitate credit approvals in support of transaction banking products
- Oversee a team of junior and senior bankers in Portfolio Management team
- Provide ongoing risk management support to the Group Head of Corporate Banking
- Complete due diligence and credit analysis on client relationships
- Monitor client industries and regulatory agencies for potential changes
- Negotiate transactions with clients on highly complex deals
- Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making
- Drive improved efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking
- Experience with investment banking on client coverage
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting preferred
- MBA, CFA or equivalent experience preferred but not required
- Relevant Financial Institutions sector experience is highly desired
- Experience with delegated credit limit or signing authority is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of organizational lending and portfolio management policies
- Excellent knowledge of corporate bank’s financial solution products and services
- Managerial, change management and leadership experience
- Exceptional analytical skills
