• Manage ADP timekeeping system and payroll processing; ensure data in the payroll system is accurate and up-to-date and maintain all other HR-related systems
• Recruit and assist with selecting quality applicants by reviewing applications, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting face-to-face interviews, and following up with candidates
• Responsible for posting open positions on various organizational outreach websites to support the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP)
• Provide high level of customer service and act as the main point of contact for employees and managers on all benefits-related questions
• Administer employee benefit and insurance programs including but not limited to: Benefit communications, Process enrollments, Communicate with the broker on changes, Reconcile monthly invoices for accuracy, Ensure compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with workforce analytics and reporting
• Assist with annual benefits open enrollment for group health, dental, life, disability, and cafeteria plans
• Point of contact for all Leaves of Absence (LOAs): Understand, interpret, and ensure adherence to Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) guidelines
• Assist employees with the LOA process, questions, and next steps via phone or email
• Assist with orientation of new employees and new hire setup
• Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems and evaluating potential solutions such as employee relations, intermediate FMLA cases, job descriptions, and performance plans
• Coordinate and investigate employee relations issues and apply applicable policies and procedures
• Conduct job analysis of new and existing positions; evaluate questionnaires and facilitate job evaluation process
• Responsible for performing reporting, monitoring, and maintenance of BMI FCU’s AAP
• Participate on, and provide support to, BMI FCU’s wellness and employee engagement committees
• Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
• Educate employees and managers about personnel policies, procedures, and practices as well as HR initiatives

Human Resources Generalist

Business Development Rep

• Responsible for providing support and assistance to achieve business goals for the Business Development department
• Ensure integrity of preferred employer group (PEG) reports, track and maintain necessary items for Business Development, vendor relationships
• Supports the field-based Business Development Managers by providing back-up assistance in supporting PEG and community activities
• Print materials, facilitate Business Development mailings for events
• Prepare and maintain promotional materials, such as brochures, offers, posters, and flyers
• Provide support to Business Development team for preparation of PEG visits; act as a backup for PEG visits when necessary
• Monitor and correct issues on the credit union’s core system for new account reports
• Keep Business Development materials and promotional products organized and in inventory; assist in pricing and ordering
• Maintain email lists, mailing lists, Business Development records, and files
• Support the financial education manager by assisting in developing content for Money Management Workshops
• Research and manage business development inquiries and leads received via web/phone

Business Development Assistant

Accountant

• Performs intermediate to more complex accounting duties, requiring some analysis and individual judgment in the application of routine calculation, verification and posting procedures to process or compile financial data or records.
• Performs accounting tasks necessary to balance and update the General Ledger (GL) and manage other accounting related duties.
• This position is a back-up to other functions in the accounting department.
• Balance, maintain, and reconcile daily, monthly, and annual General Ledger (GL) accounts as assigned by the Controller/VP of Finance.
• Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) including, but not limited to, monthly invoices for all departments and branch locations and expense to appropriate GLs.
• Prepare complex analyses including balance sheet and income statement analysis.
• Collect and assemble financial information for Board of Directors, auditors, and other interested parties.
• Prepare reports and explain variances; prepare budget information.
• Quality check and process employee and Board Member expense reports and corporate card payments.
• Process ATM return deposit items and adjustments.
• Assist Member Service Representatives with identifying issues and answering questions.
• Assist with month-end close process.
• Manage gift card inventory, including the ordering of excess stock.
