Project Manager

• Support the development and smooth running of the Pet Food Bank project and other community initiatives.
• Collaborate with pet food banks, suppliers, local authorities, community groups and volunteers to ensure effective coordination, communication and logistics.
• Secure donations of pet food and services, oversee the movement of food and equipment, and regularly travel to food bank partners and other organisations.
• Liaise with volunteers and colleagues by phone and in person, ensuring everyone is supported, informed and working together effectively.
• Support the planning, preparation and delivery of a large-scale summer event in June 2026, working in partnership with one of our corporate partners.
• Provide essential administrative support, contribute to reporting, and help deliver a clear and effective communication plan to support project and event activity.
• Act as a positive ambassador for Blue Cross, ensure policies and procedures are followed, and support the Community Project Lead with income delivery and media activity where required.

Community Project Coordinator – Part Time

• You will support the day-to-day coordination of activity linked to the Summer Event, working closely with internal teams, partners, suppliers and volunteers to ensure effective planning and delivery.
• This will include supporting logistics, administration, communications activity and stakeholder engagement to ensure the event runs smoothly and achieves its intended impact.
• Alongside event delivery, you will contribute to wider community project activity where required, including liaising with pet food bank partners, coordinating volunteers, and supporting reporting and record keeping.
• You will regularly communicate with volunteers and colleagues by phone and in person, ensuring clear and consistent coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• This is a home-based role with regular travel as required. You will be attached to a nominated Blue Cross site, which will act as your contractual base for the role. Travel to your nominated base site is considered normal commuting. Occasional travel to partner organisations or other Blue Cross locations will also be required.
• Due to the fixed nature of the project timeline, the successful candidate will need to commence employment on Monday 23 February 2026.
