About the role

Assists, advises, or consults with the Actuarial Services team and management.
Pulls, studies and analyzes health insurance data.
Maintains and enhances assigned systems and models.
Applies fundamentals of forecasting and financial analysis.
Makes recommendations to stakeholders for informed business decisions.
Demonstrates understanding of intermediate actuarial concepts and the health insurance industry.
Partners with other applicable areas to understand connections and impacts.

Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, or Actuarial Science or related field.
Successful completion of at least (1) exam.
Ability to understand programming basics and develop spreadsheet models, databases and statistical models.
Ability to identify trends and patterns in data sets.
Ability to understand complex ideas and technical data.
Ability to successfully collaborate.
Ability to identify and make recommendations to management.
Ability to recognize opportunity for improvements, new ideas or innovative approaches.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Related internship and/or (1) year of experience in actuarial analysis.
(2) years of experience in actuarial analysis for Analyst II.
(4) years of experience in actuarial analysis for Analyst III.
Successful completion of at least (2) exams for Analyst II.
Demonstration of achievement and progress towards ASA preferred.
