About the role
- Responsible for integration, system and end-to-end testing for Bloomlife’s medical devices (hardware and software)
- Create test protocols and test cases covering all system and user requirements, including relevant medical device standards
- Execute tests and document them in verification reports
- Analyze test results, detect issues and report them in the defect management tracking tool
- Follow-up with engineers on issues and work collaboratively to resolve them
- Write test scripts and set up automated testing where necessary
- Assemble and test device prototypes used in clinical studies
- Test and qualify test equipment and tools, and maintain a test infrastructure that meets quality standards
- Work as part of the engineering team in Liege or Eindhoven, follow agile development, and define sprints with product and engineering leads
Requirements
- M.Sc. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent through experience
- 1+ year experience as a test or quality assurance engineer in the medical device industry
- Experience with integration-, system-level and end-to-end testing
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
- Passionate about applying knowledge and skills to building products and services that impact pregnant women’s lives
- Experience with IEC 62304 or working within a quality management system (helpful)
- Experience with devices for electrophysiological measurement (e.g., ECG or EEG devices) (helpful)
- Experience developing test scripts in Python, MATLAB or other programming languages (helpful)
- Experience with commercial medical device products (helpful)
