About the role
- Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems under the guidance of experienced Field Service Engineers.
- Provide hands-on technical training and mentorship designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and competencies required for a successful career in field service engineering.
- Participate in structured learning programs and field assignments to gain practical experience across a variety of service environments.
- Service, maintain, and repair medical imaging equipment at various customer locations.
- Evaluate equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance, installations, calibrations, and repairs to ensure systems meet OEM specifications and customer expectations.
- Diagnose and resolve electronic, mechanical, and network-related problems under the direction of senior engineers.
- Document service activities, procedures, and best practices; assist in training and educating end users on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members by providing project updates, reporting issues, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable on-site representation of the company, maintaining strong customer relationships.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a technical discipline such as electronics, mechanical engineering, computer technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent military training or experience in a technical specialty may also be considered.
- Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical and/or electrical experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through a combination of work experience and/or relevant training.
- Strong mechanical skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet research.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.
- Must be 21 years of age or older to operate company vehicles.
- Must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, criminal background check, and drug screening.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical exam and, if required, a written test to operate rental trucks or fleet vehicles.
