About the role

  • Build and mentor a high ‑ performing UI/UX team; set clear standards, workflows, and quality bars
  • Define and maintain interface guidelines and patterns to ensure cohesive, readable experiences across platforms and control schemes
  • Partner with User Research and analytics to validate decisions and iterate based on player data and playtests
  • Create wireframes and mockups for core features; implement efficient layouts in the engine and communicate functional requirements to engineering
  • Collaborate across disciplines (art, design, audio, engineering, production) to embed UX principles throughout development
  • Present work regularly, gather feedback, and refine the player experience
  • Track industry trends and accessibility best practices to inform innovation and live ‑ service needs (seasons, events, shop, battle pass)

Requirements

  • 12+ years in UI/UX for games or interactive products, with shipped work that demonstrates ARPG ‑ friendly readability, hierarchy, and interaction craft
  • Proven experience leading design teams
  • Track record of providing design direction, performance management, and professional development
  • Expert-level understanding of hierarchy and layout design principles, UX process and usability design principles, color theory, and visual design
  • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Figma, Miro, and Photoshop (or equivalent) for wireframing, prototyping, and documentation
  • Hands-on experience integrating UI in AAA engines, understanding art/tech workflows, performance constraints, and cross-discipline handoffs
  • Shipped complex UI systems end-to-end across distinct inputs and platforms (e.g., KBM vs. controller, PC/console, and familiarity with mobile patterns where relevant)
  • Strong communicator: clear, persuasive writing and presentation; effective collaboration across design, art, engineering, audio, and production
  • Demonstrated ability to take features from initial pitch to shipped product, leveraging appropriate tools, technology, and visual language
  • Strong documentation philosophies and strategies to evangelize your designs
  • Positive attitude and an ability to receive and provide objective feedback.
