About the role
- Lead on-site and desktop audits of lighting systems and controls
- Provide compliance assessment of lighting levels
- Develop utility-ready measure scopes for energy efficiency programs
- Specify and select lighting and equipment
- Prepare detailed energy and savings calculations
- Monitor utility incentive programs and prepare documentation
- Review engineering standards and as-built documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant energy engineering experience
- P.Eng. designation in Ontario required (or ability to acquire)
- Knowledge of high-efficiency lighting systems and controls, applicable codes and standards, electrical systems, solar PV fundamentals
- Skills in lighting audits, illuminance measurement, savings calculations, utility incentive documentation, M&V planning, technical reporting, and design intent verification
- Moderate travel required with a valid driver’s license
