About the role
- Implement and enhance portfolio management and analytics tools, primarily in Python, to support liquidity management, risk monitoring, and investment decision-making
- Develop, deploy, maintain, and monitor portfolio engineering algorithms and workflow automation solutions
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes using data analytics and scalable technology solutions
- Partner with portfolio managers to translate investment processes into systematic, production-ready tools
- Integrate portfolio architect solutions into BlackRock’s technology ecosystem, including Aladdin
- Collaborate with BlackRock technology teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and implemented effectively
- Support reporting, analytics, and monitoring frameworks used in daily portfolio oversight
- Maintain awareness of regulatory considerations impacting cash portfolios.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or other quantitative fields
- 3+ years of experience in investment management, trading, or finance-related fields preferred
- Foundational understanding of money markets, fixed income instruments, or liquidity products is a plus
- Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), and/or Java with solid object-oriented programming experience
- Knowledge of the Python libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, Streamlit, etc.) and experience working with large datasets and statistical processing
- Experience with project management, software development lifecycle (SDLC), including version control, and testing frameworks
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau & Power BI) and Snowflake
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across investment, risk, and technology teams
- High degree of professional integrity, discretion, and judgment
- Ability to organize and operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willingness and capability to adopt, learn and effectively utilize AI tools enhance productivity and decision-making.
