About the role

  • Sell and provide guidance about products, services and accessories from the Blackline Safety catalogue
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients in technical and scientific wholesale and manufacturing fields
  • Identify and locate new clients through networking and cold calls
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for an assigned region or industry
  • Match product features to client needs and answer product inquiries
  • Provide information, quotes, credit terms, prepare contracts and submit orders
  • Negotiate prices, terms of sales, and service agreements
  • Collaborate with purchasing and other staff to ensure orders are processed and distributed properly
  • Prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Blackline Safety develops and manufactures wirelessly connected safety products to monitor and protect workers

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold
  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Previous experience with gas detection sales or support services is an asset
