About the role
- Serve as a senior leader within the Distribution organization, supporting the Distribution Grid Leader in developing and executing the Distribution strategy.
- Provide technical and operational insight that strengthens decision-making, execution, and business performance across the Distribution portfolio.
- Lead initiatives to improve processes, training, onboarding, tools, and delivery frameworks that support operational excellence.
- Oversee execution performance of Distribution programs and projects in close partnership with EDS leadership to ensure alignment with strategic goals and delivery expectations.
- Collaborate with EDS, Project Management, PMO, and enterprise partners to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution across the Distribution business.
- Influence business growth by improving delivery models, scalability, and ways of working across distributed teams.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor for complex issues, strategic initiatives, delivery risks, or key client discussions.
- Support business development through participation in proposals, client presentations, and pursuit strategies; represent Distribution at conferences, client workshops, and industry events.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in electric distribution engineering, utility operations, EPC/design services, or large-scale distribution program execution.
- Experience working in or leading large, complex distribution teams at a regional or national level, with exposure to utility programs, major portfolios, or multi-site delivery environments.
- Proven ability to shape delivery approaches, staffing models, training programs, and onboarding processes based on prior experience supporting large-scale distribution efforts.
- Background in design services, EPC environments, or multidisciplinary delivery models, with familiarity supporting or influencing P&L outcomes for engineering or project portfolios.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, mentoring leaders, or managing through multiple layers of supervision, with the ability to grow into future people-leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of distribution engineering practices, standards, risks, and technical delivery methods, enabling effective advisory input and execution oversight.
- Experience driving process improvement, quality enhancement, or operational excellence efforts within engineering or project delivery organizations.
- Proven effectiveness influencing outcomes in matrixed environments, working collaboratively with engineering leaders, project managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent executive-level communication and client-facing skills, with experience participating in proposals, strategic pursuits, client presentations, and industry-facing engagements.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- English required; Spanish proficiency a plus.
