About the role

  • Develop onsite inspection plans to assess electrical equipment
  • Performing deenergized tests such as vibration and thermography
  • Provide technical support and oversight for third-party contractors performing energized assessment work
  • Review and evaluate electrical test results and prepare technical reports clearly articulating repair, replacement, and maintenance recommendations
  • Responsible for safely planning and managing field-based asset inspection and performance evaluations of water, wastewater, power, and other utility facilities
  • Manage the structuring, storage and utilization of diverse data and asset information
  • Perform analysis of reliability, functionality, and maintainability (asset performance) and condition, with the ability to clearly communicate observations and produce results in a professional quality report document
  • Assist with the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for client organizations
  • Support maintenance plan development
  • Develop reports, presentations, and Technical Memorandums
  • Work directly with clients and support project team in meetings and workshops
  • Support Solution Team as required to prepare proposals and scopes of work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • 5 - 7 years of electrical design or testing experience
  • Knowledge of FERC, IEEE, and NEC standards
  • Knowledge of electrical assessment in areas such as: planning and management of field inspections, selection and deployment of inspection technologies, interpretation of field data, and rehabilitation/replacement recommendations and technologies
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of electrical principles with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • 4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment
