About the role
- Develop onsite inspection plans to assess electrical equipment
- Performing deenergized tests such as vibration and thermography
- Provide technical support and oversight for third-party contractors performing energized assessment work
- Review and evaluate electrical test results and prepare technical reports clearly articulating repair, replacement, and maintenance recommendations
- Responsible for safely planning and managing field-based asset inspection and performance evaluations of water, wastewater, power, and other utility facilities
- Manage the structuring, storage and utilization of diverse data and asset information
- Perform analysis of reliability, functionality, and maintainability (asset performance) and condition, with the ability to clearly communicate observations and produce results in a professional quality report document
- Assist with the execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for client organizations
- Support maintenance plan development
- Develop reports, presentations, and Technical Memorandums
- Work directly with clients and support project team in meetings and workshops
- Support Solution Team as required to prepare proposals and scopes of work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 5 - 7 years of electrical design or testing experience
- Knowledge of FERC, IEEE, and NEC standards
- Knowledge of electrical assessment in areas such as: planning and management of field inspections, selection and deployment of inspection technologies, interpretation of field data, and rehabilitation/replacement recommendations and technologies
- Strong theoretical knowledge of electrical principles with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
- 4+ years experience in a business/consulting environment
