About the role

  • Responsible for daily supervision of a small group of billing staff.
  • Serve as key resource for project billing staff.
  • Be responsible for invoicing of assigned projects.
  • Work closely with Project Accountants and Project Controls personnel.
  • Serve as trusted business advisor to management related to project billing.
  • Ensure project compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Generate, audit, and distribute draft invoices and/or credit memos.
  • Research and resolve basic to moderately complex invoice matters.
  • Monitor cash collections for assigned group.
  • Communicate with clients regarding past due invoices.
  • Support project invoicing related analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related experience.
  • Typically 4+ years related experience.
  • Preferably two years in a project billing environment.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Black & Veatch Systems.
  • Intermediate Knowledge of percent complete accounting.
  • Basic Technical accounting knowledge.
  • Basic Knowledge of foreign currency terminology and concepts.
