About the role
- Responsible for daily supervision of a small group of billing staff.
- Serve as key resource for project billing staff.
- Be responsible for invoicing of assigned projects.
- Work closely with Project Accountants and Project Controls personnel.
- Serve as trusted business advisor to management related to project billing.
- Ensure project compliance with contractual obligations.
- Generate, audit, and distribute draft invoices and/or credit memos.
- Research and resolve basic to moderately complex invoice matters.
- Monitor cash collections for assigned group.
- Communicate with clients regarding past due invoices.
- Support project invoicing related analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related experience.
- Typically 4+ years related experience.
- Preferably two years in a project billing environment.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.
- Intermediate Knowledge of Black & Veatch Systems.
- Intermediate Knowledge of percent complete accounting.
- Basic Technical accounting knowledge.
- Basic Knowledge of foreign currency terminology and concepts.
