About the role

  • Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist and/or supervisor
  • Applies advanced technical expertise to address complex design challenges
  • Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation
  • Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards
  • Responsible for drawing control and historical records
  • Demonstrates personal accuracy and drives continual improvement and change management efforts
  • Applies basic engineering principles and established design practices in developing complex design concepts and deliverables
  • Performs design calculations, detailed material quantities and estimates
  • Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
  • Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred)
  • Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
