About the role
- Support hazard vulnerability and risk assessment analysis for hazard mitigation, resilience and disaster recovery plans
- Lead and support innovative data analysis and communication via Storymaps, dashboards, website integration for stakeholder communication and outreach
- Support and coordinate risk assessment, hazard mitigation and disaster recovery planning
- Support client and stakeholder workshops
- Provide task leadership to deliver Resilience Planning solutions/studies/projects
- Support engagement with new and existing clients to develop new business
Requirements
- 4+ years of GIS analysis and data visualization experience
- Experience related to hazard mitigation, resilience, disaster preparedness & recovery, coastal and sea level rise impacts
- Experience with Federal approaches and tools to assess risks and provide hazard mitigation (i.e. FEMA HAZUS)
- A minimum total of 1 year of related work experience
- Bachelor degree in engineering or professional degree in Sciences in area of expertise preferred
