About the role
- Functions as technical specialist and may supervise multi-discipline engineering staff
- Provides guidance and direction on design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes
- Prepares complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects
- Develops and applies advanced engineering solutions to complex problems
- Establishes work plans and manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements
- Communicates client interests and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in project performance
- Actively mentors lower level and mid-level professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 11 years related work experience
- Active engineering registration or licensure supporting engineer of record (EOR) requirements
- Strong experience in 69kV to 500kV overhead transmission line design
- Working knowledge of Power Line system based programs (e.g., PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE)
- Previous client interaction experience with relationship-building abilities
